TMV System SpecificationsThe TMV Office Workstation (TMV-OWS) is a hardware and software data package used for processing and viewing pavement inspection and distress rating data collected with a variety of TxDOT instruments and software systems. The system uploads data collected over time from these various data sources and manages this information in a single linked collection "Access" databases. The system provides a comprehensive multimedia data viewer which allows the operator to view and query any combination visual ratings, instrument data, and image data available for a roadbed. Complete hardware and software module descriptions are given below.
MM_TMV_WS Modular Vehicle Office Workstation Software Package
Operating System and all software are delivered "pre-installed" on the computer hardware. The C-Map Systems "MM_TMV_WS" package will include the following features:
Multi-Media Data Viewer Module - The Multi-Media Data Viewer provides comprehensive data storage and viewing tools for all TxDOT pavement rating and instrument data. The system utilizes graphical displays to allow the operator to simultaneously view images, visual ratings and instrument readings for a highway. The system also manages instrument and rating data "vintages" collected over a number of years to analyze trends in distress and measurements over time.
Data Transfer Module - Data may uploaded into the viewer workstation from a variety of sources including the following:
- MFV Databases and Video Tapes
- TxDOT Modular Vehicle (TMV) Data and Images
- PMIS data in "Access" database tables
- Other TMV Office Workstations
TMV data may be loaded into the system directly from vehicles using wireless ethernet LAN.
Whenever data is transferred, the TMV Office Workstation provides a high level of data verification to protect the integrity of the database. Data is verified and synchronized with the existing data before additions are incorporated in the database.
Visual Distress Rating Module - The Visual Distress Rating Module provides a capability to visually rate pavement using images and associated data collected with the TMV Data Collection Vehicle. The system is similar in function to the MFV visual rating stations. The primary difference from the MFV system being that the images used to rate are digital still frames from the TMV, not continuous analog video tapes. Ratings from the module are compatible with the Data Viewer Module for uploading.
Data Export Module The export module provides the capability to generate both PF99 and PMIS format ASCII text files for selected data sets.
